Service Description

A multi-aged prepared environment where the children build community through their participation in all areas of learning. They learn to care for themselves, others, and the environment. Practical life activities are embedded in the routine and are an instrumental part of the children's academic and social development by fostering concentration, refinement of skills, love for work, and joy as the fruit of an attained sense of purpose. The children are welcome in a Montessori prepared environment that is Christ-Centered Catechesis of the Good Shepherd is at the core of our program. The children meditate and contemplate on the life and work of our Lord Jesus Christ and the Kingdom of God according to their stage of development. By following the liturgical year and with a reverent approach towards the spiritual needs of the child, their innate sense of wonder is awakened so they get to know and love more deeply Our Lord. Bilingual Spanish is introduced as a second language in a natural and casual manner. Through prayers, songs, games, and lessons, the children experience the Spanish language in a fun and practical way. True to Montessori Principles The four areas of the Montessori environment (Practical Life, Sensorial, Language, and Math) are fully-equipped with authentic materials. The child experiences the principles of freedom within limits, interdependence, and respect, expressed in the beauty and order of the environment, and in the way that we show care for each other. Integrated Indoor/Outdoor environments Thanks to the layout of our space, the children transition freely from the indoor to the outdoor environment which offers ample opportunity for nature exploration and engaging work.
